BANGKOK – Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok. A news report said he was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor. He said the embassy was informed by Thai authorities that Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday, but he could not provide further details out of consideration for his family.

The Web site of the Thai newspaper The Nation cited unidentified police sources as saying Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room.

Very sad news. Waiting for the rest of the story and what the investigation finds. RIP.

Suicide??? By hanging to boot...

He was just doing those yellow book commericals the last few years. :(

Kill Bill.. I guess he did.. RIP

God Speed David

Someone finally took the pebble from his hand!

Kwai Chang Kane was an icon of substantial imagery for many of us.....

This is a fkn shame...........

None of the acting Carradines received the kind of top bill stardom that they deserved.....

Again...a damn shame this happened. I too, would like to know more.

Tragic end to a life...

Suicide in a Bangkok hotel room....... :dontknow:

Seems awfully tragic to me......... What a waste.

Maybe he had cancer or was facing something equally/severely painful.....

Damn shame...... I liked him..... The Kung Fu charcater was an iconic example that was inspirational to many of us seekers of something higher and greater...... This blows big time...

RIP, grasshopper....

maybe that show pushed him over the edge ,,,i dont get living 73 years then hanging your self ,,,hell do it a 30 not 73 ,,
Yeah, he seemed to be staying busy. In most cases that's all an actor wants to do is be in front of the camera. Unless it was an illness that was too unbearable to go through I think there will be more to this story.

....they said on WLWD that he was pleasuring himself and was increasing the pleasure by choking himself????? I just hope I sport wood at 72, let alone try to enhance it.

Please tell me you are joking...at 72 I would hope he has found other things to bring himself pleasure. Sad anyways

I would not joke about it...WLWD is the big radio station in Cincinnati. I grew up watching David, I would not belittle anyone's death. If they are wrong....then I'm sorry.
