Return of the 5.0: Ford Exec confirms 400 hp 'Coyote' V8 coming in 2010

I think it's cool they are bringing back the Five-Point-Slow.... It was WAY better than the Four-Point-Sucks.... :D :) :marchmellow:

....... The 3-Valve 5.4L (Five-Point-Sore :p ) is a pretty stout motor tho. I hope they continue to work on it. It would still be a good candidate for a selective cylinder model of the bigger SUVs/Trucks.

i cant wait to kill one...:D :D

Funny! :D

I just love fast cars and trucks... But, I can't comfortably fit in a Mustang so it wouldn't really matter how much horsepower they put in it.

....:dito: on the 5.0.................but replace the 5.4 with a 351 Cleveland..;)

thats not a new engine in the pic:dontknow: its the current 4.6 3 valve, all i owned before the 10 was fords...If they build a 400hp mustang GT i'll have to at least test drive it, the 315hp one now can run mid 13's already so with 400hp(as long as they don't add too much weight) it'll prob move pretty good. I wouldn't wanna mess with one on the street...from a dig anyway:D

My Dad has an 02 Crown Vic Police Interceptor he just dropped a '98 Lincoln MarkVIII 4.6L 32V DOHC engine and transmission in it. That bitch is a rocket!:burnout:

The "new" 5.0L will just be a bored/stroked version of the current 4.6L OHC mod motor with a aluminum block. I'm sure it won't be a radical new design (with this current economic state).... but, they have to do something to keep up with GM's Camaro SS. ;)

haha check-out the price tag on it... wonder if it'll end up being the base GT engine or an extra cost option
