Silent D said:Same problem I had before I did the Viper GTS clutch hydraulics package and Dan Cragin's re-routing and sheilding of the clutchlines. It seems to be an issue of insufficient line pressure and heat affecting the hydraulic fluid.
I went through hell with this whole clutch hydraulics thing for nearly 2 years. Kept burning up clutch discs, flywheels etc..... Dodge even put in a new tranny thinking that might be it....
As soon as I did the aforementioned work ALL of my clutch problems vanished.............Plastic slave cylinders are just a stupid idea.
My problems all started with not being able to get it in reverse. Then soon after became, "I can't get it into gear at all".
By the way, next time you are stuck in the street and can't get it into reverse, try shutting off the engine, then pumping the shit out'a the clutch pedal. It should eventually go into reverse with the engine off. Then fire it up and go.
Hope this helps.

FerrariTruck said:I didnt run the stage lights!! besides even if I did, you didnt see. it's all hear say. Although while trying to engage reverse after the burnout, (dont ask why) It was as if reverse just got deleted, clutch pedal to the floor still woulnd't go in. After the run in the pits it reverse was engaging normally again. only thing i can imagine is that heated up the fluid since it was a back to back run. hope fully this wont happen again once i get that clutch package.

It may not be a heat thing. Any time the engine spins at high RPM something in the clutch loosens-up. I've noticed it upshifting (Could be heat related) and downshifting (Not heat related).:burnout:FerrariTruck said:It was as if reverse just got deleted, clutch pedal to the floor still woulnd't go in.
