Ok finally got time to change the idler and tensioner pulley tomorrow morning. I remember last time I gave up on trying to get the idler pulley off because it was a PITA and I couldn't loosen it without fear of damaging it. Well I looked around just now and it looks like it might be reverse threaded which could explain my dilemma? Are they reverse threaded?

The bolt would be torqued to 40 ft/lbs and no indication that it is reverse thread! some of the bolts take quite alot of push to break loose. find a way to increase your leverage. try a long handle ratchet or a longer wrench. Although i don't recommend double wrenching it is a easy way to double leverage. :D Watch your knuckles!!!

Yes it is reversed thread. If you check the head of the bolt it has a notch at each corner. That is the universal symbol for left handed thread. Plus, I just took mine apart on the weekend.

Damn good call bro! Im glad this question was asked cuz i would of never known. And i learned something new about the marking on the bolt
