Reverse wire

I am getting ready to install a backup camera to my aftermarket head unit and i need to know the color and location inside of the truck of the reverse wire so that i can tap into it. Can anyone help me with this info

pull the taillight and find the reverse light wire color. remove the driverside kick panel and find that wire. test it to be sure. I think it should be WT/LG.

Its under the truck coming from the reverse switch on the trans.

I just did this upgrade, I tapped into the rear right brake light and soldered it in, you are taking the wire from the camer back there anyway. So piggy back them together over the fuel tank up to the motor and pop the grommet to get in the cab...

couple of hours work but worth it mate.

Curious where you guys mounted your cameras? I put mine in the tailgate handle area right in the center.
