Riddle me THAT!

On my way home from work last night I stopped to grab a little gas. Checked GasBuddy for the lowest priced premium on my route home which was $3.75. It was 1:30 AM and I had to return to work at 6 so I decided I would just throw in a few bucks. Started to pump hit $15 and it was at exactly 4 gallons decided, I'll go to $30 so I have 8 gallons but when I reached $30 low and behold I had only pumped 7 gallons exactly!?! How is that possible?!?! I went inside to check with the clerk but he had a line and didn't really look like he knew what he was doing so I took off but the more I thought about it on the way home the more and more it's driving me nuts. That means I paid $5.00 a gallon for the last 3 gallons which brought my average to $4.28 for the entire purchase!?!! WHAT KIND OF CRAP WAS THAT!

Totally fair, IMO. I think it was a good idea not to question the clerk too.

I was kind of poking fun at the fact that gas companies have us by the nipples and the fact that even if I file complaints and what not, 99% chance not a thing will be done haha

I've never trusted gas stations, really how do we know they're pumping as much gas as they say or at what quality. A year ago, we stopped to fill the little ladies G8(19 gallon tank) and it took 19.9 gallons?
