RIP VIPER 1992-2011

I knew it was bound to happen with the introduction of the new Corvette Z09. I gues Chrysler Corp. can't continue one uping the Corvette. I think the Viper will remain relatively unchanged until its demise in 2011, but its still the best badest Viper the Dodge has ever made.

Not so fast...

I read a magazine that dodge was try to develop a diesel powered Viper

"2008 Viper ACR w/ 6.7L turbo Diesel"
That would be cool, still would love to keep the V10. Can you imagine the torque!

It may be a possibility! patrick could you imagine, instead of a Roe and you would need is a new chip and would probably have +800lb-ft

No, a Diesel Viper would not be cool. Unless it is a gas guzzling V10 it is not a Viper, build a new car in that case.

If they kill it there will also not be deals. The prices of used GEN IIIs will level off, just like I and IIs already have.

It will be a sad day for sure. The Viper has become a worldwide icon. It does not stand on top of every performance aspect, but it is still one of the coolest cars ever.

Maybe they'll go out with a bang and put a nice sized 750-850 factory motor
in before they go!!!
Maybe i can have one before they kill it off!!!!
Only in my "DREAMS"

C'mon its not that bad, it is a better idea then the GenIII all together:D

...I would be willing to bet they go out with a bang. I am talking 750+ hp bang...
