road warrior supercharged?

i know its a movie, but has anyone thought of doing a electric clutched supercharger? then when your just driving around you don't have to run it.

i just think it would be cool.

you'd have to be able to have an alternate intake of some sort i would think but I believe itd be kool

Use a 4" bow thruster and attach it to your intake (between it and the filter). That should give a slight boost

i belive some mercedes benz's have a clutch on the blower and it cuts it off on the highway

The amg mercedes do cut on and off I believe. I painted on not long ago and the supercharger looked like it had an a/c clutch on it.

its a very good idea, as supercharger would create drag and also would wear out the charger when your not needing it.

The amg one dose cut on and off but it is rpm sensitive. It engages anytime you want to to push the pedal.. Basically its like a over enginered a/c
cluch to hold the up.. the v8s run about 15psi and the v6 about 13psi..

Now you guys are in my territory... ive been working on benz for 12 years as a master tesh at a dealer

Ya the dealer i work at is i a very (old money) area.. Just service a clk blk
last week. We have about 10 of them come in and 2 or 3 or the new sl blacks.. The 65s are everywhere. You what torque how about aroud
730ish at under 2000rpm its like launching in a rocket ship
