Roe Intercooler

another tought... our pistons are cooled by spraying oil on the bottoms... there we can improve something with a extra oil/air cooler... no, :dontknow:

i think we even have it easy as there are already outside oil lines going to a oil/water plate heat exchanger....perhaps just take the "oil out" there and route it trough a oil/air cooler and going back to the original oil line ?

anybody did this already :dontknow:

Water/Meth is tried, tested, proven and inexpensive. Why not just use w/m?:dontknow:

We did prove saturday at the dyno GTG that spraying meth reduced hp by 5.:dontknow:

You have to tune for the w/m too. Who was your tuner? I picked up about 10 hp spraying the w/m. I maxed out the fuel pump or would have picked up more.

You were doing something wrong if you lost hp. ;)

Ok 1.4 x1000 or 1400 m3 per hour makes alot more sense than 1.4 m3/hr!

i see your misunderstanding... i write 1.494 or 1,494... which is x 1000 less....
You write 1494....

i'm used to write big numbers  :D .. so not 12345678 but 12.345.678...;)

agreed.

I picked up arrox 30hp from meth, due to the fact I was able to put a 10# pulley instead of an 8# pulley on 91, and still keep timing fairly the same w/ no detonation.

I just spoke to Sean today regarding the methanol and my tune, he stated that the A/F ratio while using the WM should ideally be between 12.5 and 12.8 any richer and it will start losing power. Maybe those that are losing power are tuned incorrectly.

Boosted? Wow....that will keep the numbers high on a dyno for sure.

Not sure what you are asking or saying :dontknow:

Are you commenting on the a/f ratio or losing hp with w/m? This thread was started about Roe S/C's. If you are spraying w/m on a n/a motor you probably could lose hp. My comments about not losing hp with w/m are concerning Roe S/C applications. ;)

I,ve been thinking this one out for quite awhile,The problem basicly,to me is hood clearance.I,ve installed (awhile ago)An intercooler on a 12/71 big block chevy I built. The intercooler (I think it was a Dyers)was aprox 4.5 inches tall.
I think one way to approach this, would be meth/alcohol injected directly into the manifold, using nos. injectors with bungs welded in(direct meth injection, fogger system):dontknow:
The Ford GT Turbo/blower uses a turbo boosting into the Eaton supercharger with the Eaton intercooler beneath the supercharger. When I get the blower off George's truck,I'll make a template, take measurements and I believe Marty and I can come up with something that would work without impeding air flow.

I believe he is referring to the turbo boosting the supercharger:)

Not quite that lean....

We shoot for 11.8-12.0 with gasoline only and 12.2 if W/M injection is added.
