I know on the VCA site he said he has a new bigger badder S/C for the Gen III Vipers, and that it will be ready to go soon. Maybe he's switching to those for the trucks too.

I was looking over the s/c's at Whipple and noticed that they
make a 5ltr unit and IMHO think it would be better than the
3.3ltr for our trucks. I sent pm's to sean and whipple but have
not heard back.:dontknow:

Has anyone who knows Mr. Roe inquired on this rumor?

I spoke with him yesterday about putting the 5 Ltr blower in a kit for
my truck and he didn't say anything about changing the standard kit.

Lysholm is out of the 3300R (top inlet) and we're going to the rear inlet instead (3300AX) instead, which is actually a precent or two more efficient.

I have the TB at the back now and it can be used with a standard air filter housing. Just have to get it on a truck to test soon. Been swamped lately.

interesting.........;)

Hello Sean, wouldn't it be feasible to add an intercooler underneath the new unit considering it has a much lower profile? The difference in height should be 3 to 4 inches between them both.

I've done a lot of charge cooler testing. At 5 - 7 psi, it's not really worth doing. At 8+, it can be worth it.
I'm really not at a point where I want to get into discussing the newer setup yet. I still have lot to do and only have so many hours in the day.
