Guys where can I get a cage for the QC built?.....It will need to pass NHRA specs.....would this be an off chassis build? or can it be done and with out removing the chassis?

Any good chassis shop can do it....look to sand rail, baja truck kind of places and tell them you want it NHRA certified so they follow the NHRA rulebook. It can be done by just taking the interior out. Then make a deal that it has to pass the NHRA certification or you don't pay until they fix it so it passes.

As far as the cage...Vprpwr has caged his L.....

I hope you can find a cage guy that doesn't have to go through the back window.....

Hell Mike I have soooooo much in this truck I might as well do it right....yah all that is going to go on.....My truck will be in a constant state of change....also want to do a mile run this fall....would like a cage in the truck before that happens......I am sure I will suck when I first begin but I will work at it and will get better....been in-touch with the track here in Tulsa....they have several race and tune days during the week to practice.....will be doing some of that......but the fall mile run is a goal...:)

if he doesn't go through the back window, it won't be legal. They have strict rules in the rulebook as far as the geometry and angles of the cage which unfortunately for us trucks....it means going through the back window to tie into the rear of the frame.

To make the cage SFI (The specs NHRA uses) legal the bars have to go through the back area on the cage. This also stiffens the chasis and ties everything together to help the truck run better. It does not look so bad I will try and get some pics of mine and post them.

Daniel is right on the no pay till it passes, That is what happened to me. I had t fix it on my nickle,
