Time for a new garage door opener, but the new ones have rolling codes which changes the remote code every time it is opened.
Anyone know if a 2005 quad cab will handle this with the button on the ceiling.
:dontknow:

Yeap, What he said. I own a garage door company and program them all the time.
It's a two step process.

1. The car/truck learns the remote (program each button independently)
2. Then press the learn/smart button on the motor (gives you 30 seconds) and press the button in the truck that learned the remote.

True, The motors I install (Liftmaster) see the remotes and keypads differently. The deluxe version has a wall button that can lock out all remotes but the keypad will still function. For instance, your car is stolen and you want to disable the thieves from being able to get into the garage. Hit the lock button and nobodies (not even your own) remotes will activate the door but you can still get in with your keypad which is wireless just like the remotes but different.

cool...my house never came with the openers...(foreclosure) and all these years i thought i had to have the remote so the car could learn the remote...and the jeep and the truck both have factory homelink or whatever...i know what i'm doin tomorrow:D
