ok recently i had a metal roof installed on my house, i got an estimate from a company for 3700 for the metal and then 2419 for the labor to install. well i though the labor was a little high but also thought "hey if it's that high they should be good right?" well this guy shows up working out of the back of his truck(he lives 3 hours away) then starts complaing that he has to get his trailer, i think not my problem you do this for a living and should've know you'd need it. so they find a section of my roof that was rotten around my chimney(sp?) and says all the decking has to be replaced because i have particle board under my shingles. wants to charge 1800 more labor plus the cost of the new plywood(would've been 69 sheets) so i looked around a bit and turns out i have OSB sheating on my roof(thats what is supposed to be on there) so i tell the guy to just repair what he ripped up. he did and never dissucsed a price with me now that the roof is done he tried to charge me 500 bucks more labor to put 2 sheets of plywood(that i bought and brought home) on the roof. i told him there was no way i was going to pay that and he should've called and asked if that price was ok before he did the work. heres the kicker i had the plywood in the back of my srt 10, they drug the plywood accros the top of the tail gate and screwed up my stripes, and this guy says he is not insured to cover it:argh: so i payed him 2600 dollars(180 than the estimate) for putting the plywood up there and he says the metal company will pay him the other 319 bucks that i refused to and they'll sue me for their money. and says i have to talk to them about getting my tailgate fixed. any thoughts?? sorry about the long post but i'm really PISSED offf right now
