Rotella 15W-40 on sale at Advance Auto Parts

A little over 12 bucks a gallon for Rotella 15W-40 at Advance Auto Parts. Military can use ID for another 10%.

Usually around 16 bucks per gallon (and rising).

They also have a Fram oil filter plus 5 quarts of syn Castrol for 29 bucks deal.

When I break in the engine, I use non-synthetic oil. AND since I am always breaking in a new engine, yes I use it. LOL

If you talk to Sean Roe, that is all he uses on his engines.

I believe several others on here use it too (FSTJACK?). Thicker, heavier oil for some added safety. May lose a pony or two on the dyno, but to me, worth the safety.

Rotella also has a 5W-40 synthetic version. Even sold at Walmart. Can't find it at Advanced Auto or Auto Zone for whatever reason?

I'm using the Rotella Full Synthetic in mine. Runs great. It is a little more expensive then the dino variety but worth it IMO.
