Men, the truck is dancing from 500 to 800 rpm idle when she's cold, even going dead sometimes:( . At nominal temp it spins like a cat again. Any idea what might cause this? Have to tell you it's like that since I noticed the small hose on the inlet (between filter and TB) to the manifold was damaged. I temporary fixed it by sliding a bigger piece of hose arround it to seal to off again. Maybe it became to narrow now?:dontknow: has this hose something to do with the idle rpm?

Took the vacuum of the booster too to see what size of T i would need to hook up my vacuum gauge but I guess that's not related to the idleling...

A vacuum leak can affect idling, spray ether or starter fluid where ever you think you may have a leak, if idle speed increases, you gotta vacuum leak.

I'll check the booster line tomorrow, maybe I didn't plug it in the check valve properly...
Not a big deal I gues but 'it pisses my off' (walter:D )

I didn't tough the plugs so that's not the cause
Remember it appeared after my vac and inlet checking. Must be one of those 2 (I hope)

strange...as that tube does no more ( i think :D ) then take clean air from the filter for idle revs. It's a electric regulating valve which allow some air in the inlet manifold when the throttle body is "closed"... Even with no hose it should work ... or not if the "normal" pressure drop over it with the stock filter would differ that much and even be important ? :dontknow: :dontknow:

OK... Let's back up. How did the hose get damaged?:dontknow:
Post a/some Pictures of the engine in that area.

It just 'aged' like rubber does. Cracks.
As I didn't have the right size of hose, I cutted a small ribble off (length), took a bigger hose to slide over it (like a condom  ) and put it back together.
