Rough idling

The last few times I've started my truck the idling is real rough and it has even died a few times. I don't drive her very much, but I've never had a problem until the past couple of times that I've started her. Any of you all ever have a similar problem with your trucks?
 
Check you idle air tube. Anything you done lately (mods) to your vehicle?
 
Nope, just the K&N intake, but that's been on there since just after I bought it. I'll check the idle air intake tube tomorrow. Thanks Bone. By the way, have you seen this yet....happened @ Diego last month.

Yeap, already read the accident report. This wouldn't have happened if you left the Bones with the Guard Guys.

I agree, poor guy though, I feel for him.
 
Did you see if there were any codes? Can't hurt while it's acting up....then
check the idle air intake tube.:dontknow:

I've had similiar problems. its just sparadoic on mine. Like the other day pulling into my garage, gravel driveway, so there is a ledge where the gravel stops and the concrete starts. (another reason my truck isn't lowered). I hit that a bit slow, completely stopped my truck, i gave it a little rev to get past it, and it died....

So what is this idle air thingy?
 
I had the same problem, she never died on me though. Took it to the dealer, said it was bad gas whit possibly some water in the fuel tank. Told me to burn the tank to empty. Filled her up at a different place. All was fixed.
 
i agree mine acts up with bad gas, seem to be getting a lot of that here lately nos octaqne boost has helped it
 
I know in the past I have heard of issues with the Idle Speed Motor that have caused stalling. I would first try to disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few minutes then reconnect it and start the truck and let it idle for 5 minutes, then turn on the air and let it idle for another 5. That worked wonders when I had stalling issues with my DC flash.
 
I had that problem after playing with a Hemi.Brought it to my dealer,No 10 plug wire malfunctioning.Didn't throw any codes at all.So now I've got a new set of stock wires,and the installed set of MSD 8.5's from ROE.Truck runs better now !!
 
Well, I went to fill whitey up with gas this morning because I'm gonna be away from home for awhile and I don't want her to sit on an empty tank. The rough idling was worse today, then the check engine light came on. I'm pissed...I called the dealership and set up an appointment but I won't be able to take her in for a few weeks until I get back home. More to follow.....
