Alright last week I changed out my fluids to Royal Purple. My Oil temp and engine temp ran neck in neck before the change. But today me and the wife were out looking at houses and I noticed my oil temp is right below 180 give or take, but my engine temp is right around 200. The temp to day was about 60 and it was all normal driving. Should I be concerned? Any suggestions?:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

Well that is good to know i didn't see how changing would affect it but that is the only thing I have done to it. I appreciate the input.

i use royal oil and k&n filter and my oil temp is 20-40deg lower than eng temp, just as every one else.

I use RP and the only time my oil temp is equal to or higher than the water temp is when I'm at the track.

RP gives off it's heat to the air better. The engine temp will only change when you change the pcm setting and the themostat.

RP all the way... I use it as rear end differential gear oil too. I'm currently using 10W30 in the motor.. Seems to be fine for Houston weather.
