thats all I use on most of my vehicles bud, but on the 10 I used to just buy the one at wally world , never had a prob with them, and gave tons of them out at the panama gtg'syellowfever#154 said:Nevermind, I just found out they are. Has anyone used the Wix filters? Pretty much every racer I know swears by the Wix. Part number for our truck is 51085.
Thanks man, Some of our trucks make a whining noise with other than oem filters. I believe it is the oil buy pass valve. Mine is fine with the stock black filter, But thought i would try the Viper filter this time. Here is some reading if you want to check it out. Thanks again for the filter #.yellowfever#154 said:Nevermind, I just found out they are. Has anyone used the Wix filters? Pretty much every racer I know swears by the Wix. I have used the black filter most of the time since new, I tried a Mobil 1 and had the whine at start up. So i went back to the black one from dodge, No whine. Also tried the K & N with the same whine, Thought i would try the Viper filter, But oh well.TNVIPER said:I believe that was the black filter...The one recommended by Dodge now is white with "VIPER" on it.......I never heard any noise using it...
