As I was cruising down the highway, my 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 Quad Cab suddenly decided to run like a bag of shit yesterday. It feels like it is running on 5 cylinders and wont idle at all any more.
Took it in to local stealership this morning and it has thrown a code from the O2 sensor saying its running rich. The dealership has had it all day and cant figure it out......

anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Mass airflow sensor.
A dodge does not have a maf

If it has more that 100,000 miles I would check the cats. All the trucks around here get to that point and they get clogged and run like crap, then they start topping out @ 30mph... It throws the rich code because of the lack of flow.

MAF,TPS. :dontknow:

what does that means?? and I don't know what is wrong with it but I'm happy it didn't happened to your srt10 which is good but sux that it happened to your another truck

check for any vacuum leaks Kalani, if ok , then go to the cats or some kind of restriction.

also check for any injectors staying open.

If all of those fail, try cleaning the throttle body, sometimes it will gum up and not close properly or delayed.
I'll be at a shop tomorrow with my truck and can pass you to a performance tech. Maybe he can help?

Apparently - ran a compression test - no compression in cylinder 8!!!

This is going to be fun.......

Valve spring!!!

now i just gotta find one for a ram downunder!!
