A pro charger provides instant boost no matter what, I think the op might not have been 100% clear on his original post or gotten his thought across properly.
The benefit of adding the waste-gate is this, You get the instant boost of the supercharger but you also get the adjust-ability of the turbo. And this now gives you the best of both worlds for a " my opinion only, superior power band"
and when running with the correct software you can now modulate boost or hp or traction or what ever you want to call it..
You can modulate by gear or rpm, or gear and rpm. This is a huge advantage so instead of having 25/30lbs of boost in my motor in 1st gear at 7k rpm, i will have probably 5lbs of boost in 1st gear at that rpm, and maybe down lower at 1200rpm we could have 8lbs of boost, as we are spinning the blower much harder than we need so boost is always there at a higher level than needed, but we just blow off the access..
and in 2nd gear maybe we go from the 5lbs up to 8lbs threw the range, then 3rd 8-14lbs and 4th 14-20 and 5th 20/25 lbs and so on.. " not acurate numbers but you get the idea" you choose what gear can hold what traction with your tire, So basically you can hold the pettal to the mettal and not worry about blowing the tires off to badly ..
My original set up was insane,, You touch the gas in 1,2 3 and it just blows the tires off at any rpm new set up will have much more power but will be able to put it to the ground..
the wastegate is a huge fix for the big power blower guys especially if you have traction problems,
and a roe will not perform as well as a procharger on its worst day on lowest boost setting and on a engine that is running on 1 cylinder lol..
