I've been debating on the atf swap in my t-56. I am just lookin for the ins-and-outs. Is there any long term risk factor in it? whats the best fluid to use? any info will help in my decision making.

I put Mobile 1 SYN ATF in mine about a year ago...shifts much better and zero issues..........if you go to the manufacture's web site they recommend SYN ATF only...

I am using Royal Purple Synthetic ATF in mine with no problems, you cannot really listen to Larry, he is a crazy old bastige.

My dealer and Viper tech advised me that if i used ATF in my T-56 it would void the warranty :dontknow: So until 11/2010 i'll stick with what Dodge says to use...after that, ATF is going in.

I tried the Mobil 1 Syn ATF for a few months.....It seemed too thin and made gears whine louder then they should. I like the stock fluid better.
