Sad day for my pet

Patrick,
Had to do the same thing on more than one occasion. My wife and I are cat people. The last time was 3 1/2 yrs. ago_Our cat marvin developed lymphoma of the kidneys. We spent over 7000.00 to try and get him better. The cancer spread and we had to take him in for his last visit. We had him cremated and we have his ashes with a picture. I know the pain. Our thoughts are with ya.

Get two more Patrick...we adopted (rescued) two, years ago...it will be tough when they go. Ours are Seren and Dipity...

We also have a rescued dog...Aero Space...after years of Rotts he is just a hound from the pound...but the best dog of all.

Jump back in bruddah,

Roy

Patrick,

I am very sorry for the loss of your Siamese. They become family.
A short time ago we had to do the same with our Siamese Kumo, he was 22. I cried many days and nights and am watering up right now thinking about him.
My condolences.

Sad Day

Sorry for your loss, had to put our cat down a while back it was a real bummer for sure-I feel for you Bro!
Bill

Sorry to hear about the loss Patrick. One of the hardest things to do is saying goodbye to a loyal friend.

All the best bud.

Really sorry to hear this Patrick. My wife and I have 4 cats in the house. They can be furry little bastards at times, but you gots to love em.

Listen to Prof. Go get a couple more from the pound. You may very well be saving their lives and that is a great feeling.

sorry to hear about your loss, patrick.:( the unconditional love a pet provides is amazing!

Patrick,

I feel your pain brother!! But as many have said already a new Puppy or Kitty will do wonders!!

I just got a new puppie and besides the poop and pee issues:D I am really enjoying her company!!

Hang in there my friend, time heals everything!!:)

Today was the day I had to take my pet cat Ling to the vet for her final visit. It was one of the most difficult and sad things I have had to do. She was nearly 18 years old and the only cat I have ever had. I grew up with dogs. She was given to me by my business partner back in 1990. I had no idea how to deal with a cat much less take care of her, but I figured it out and she was so loyal to me. She was a great friend and always greeted me with lots of meows. She was a siamese so she was very vocal and very loving. She was in my life more than any GF, thats how long I have had her.

Her kidneys were failing and her body was begining to become toxic. We also believe she developed a cancerous tumor in her mouth. Last night was a long night as she seemed to be suffering. I called the vet the first thing in the morning and made arrangements to bring her in. I then balled my eyes out like no tomorrow. It was very hard to say goodbye. I know it was time and the right thing to do.

You all are a special group to me and felt compelled to share this with you all. I know we have lots of pets owners and many of you have had to do this before. Anyway, I just wanted to get it out. Thanks for listening.

RIP Ling, aka Stinky, aka Fuzzy, aka Lingers, aka dam cat, aka fricken cat .......LOL we had lots of nicknames for her!

Sorry to hear that Patrick......and I understand.....the love you can have for a pet is really intense.....and unless you have lost one who was part of the family.....you will never know.......sorry buddy...:(

sorry to hear about your loss, i had a doberman for 15 yrs and had to put her down, amazing how fond of a animal you can get. can be your closest friends.

So very sorry about your loss... I know that when my cat has to go it will be a very hard time as well. I've had him since he was about 3 1/2 weeks. Had to feed him via a dropper and special formula. We also recently had to have our 13 year old German Sheppard put to sleep. Rescued her as a puppy from the SPCA. Cried my eyes out at the vet when we dropped her off. Couldn't look into her eyes. I feel your pain, and hope that you can come to deal with the loss as the rest of us have.

I am sorry to hear of your loss Patrick. I know too well how that feels, that is why I have chosen to not have any more pets. The loss is too much for me anymore.

Bill.

Sorry you had to do this Patrick. I know it was hard, but it was the right thing to do. I have a Seal point siamese named Jax. We name our rescues by the place we find them. We got him in Jacksonvile. Take a few moments and think of the funny things the fricken cat has done. About how she was always trying to climb on shit cause she wanted to be higher then everyone else so she could look down on us worthless humans. Well now she is higher and I bet she is happy also. Time will bring peace to you my friend.

Patrick,
Sorry for your loss..I know how hard something like this is..Its amazing how a pet can become such a part of your life..
I agree with everyone telling you to go adopt a stray..just give yourself time to grieve alittle..then go get a big dog..not one of those rodent dogs..lol
Matt

Very sorry to hear about this. I've been there a few times myself. Last year, just before Christmas, I had to say goodbye to a great cat. He had arthritis, bad, but he was always in a good mood in spite of it. After waiting on him hand & paw for a month and a half while a broken leg was trying to heal, and didn't, I had to let him go. It's damned tough. No two ways about it.:(

Real sorry to hear about your loss Patrick. :( I know how it feels. I hate to think about when I will have to do that with my dog(ANGEL) and Cat (Garfield). Although they can be a pain in the ass sometimes. I would hurt very much without them. It has been hard just not coming home to them for the past 8 months that I have been in the sand box. I can't wait to get back and yell at them again.:D

Patrick, so sorry to hear about your friend :( We own dogs and they become such a part of our lives that they are definitely family members. I am glad she gave you so many good years of companionship and loyalty. You will have those memories forever. :D

Thank you for sharing, and remember YOU DID THE RIGHT THING for your friend........ have a good weekend, and maybe someday you will feel like sharing some pics of her with us!! :dontknow:

Sorry to hear about that Patrick. In some ways loosing a long time pet is as bad, if not worse, than loosing a family member...Hell, they are a family member. I've been there, like most have, it's a tough time. Hang in there Brother.

You guys are all so awesome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and similar stories.

I will get another pet when my Gf is ready. Its difficult for her as she lost her bestfriend Winky a shitzue of 14 years, 2 years ago.

I have great memories of Lingers. Here is the last pic I took of her last Sunday. She was an indoor only cat, but I took her outside on the Lanai and gave her a nice brushing. She was very happy to just sit there and look around.
