I'm participating in the NASA group of high performance driving. There is some concern about trucks participating because of the weight of the vehicles and the ability to stop in a short period of time. I read the braking distance from 60-0 is 120 feet which I believe is pretty good given the trucks weight.
What is available as far as safety and/or brake upgrades for our trucks. Any vendors on this forum have the parts for the upgrades. NASA is inquiring as to what the additional cost would be for trucks (lightning/SRT Ram) and whether that would exclude others from participating.
I will be racing at the new Hastings track at the end of September...the only truck so far with the rocky mountain region of NASA. The higher ups are just kind of curious as to whats out there and if there are any vendors. I'm looking forward to participating with these guys and improving my driving skills. The additional safety equipment will hopefully apply to both real world and driving atmospheres.
