my 160 gallon tank should be ready for some fish in less than a month .

i'm looking for suggestions and pictures of salt water fish that would work well in my tank.

ones that swim and breath water would be a good start:D

i really dont know, but cant wait to see it bro! allways liked the salt tanks, I know the fish you can get are more colorful:rock:

clown fish are pretty cool mabe a puffer?? sharks are nice but nothing else will survive not even other sharks. maybe some badass coral, anaties(spelling?) and maybe just get a bunch of small colorfull fish that would "school" together that would be nice... how big is that ftxft??? that would determine a lot

I have been looking into changing out the hood/light set up on my 55, and frequent a few sites that have some good info regarding...and a good forum based community that offers you some insight on substrate....filter set ups...ect.

Have fun with it Clint.

Ok, so you can keep a wide variety of fish...

What type of tank are you going to keep? Are going to keep corals(Reef tank)? Some fish are not reef safe...They will eat your corals...

What type of corals are you keeping? Some corals need cleaner water and would limit the amount of fish that you can keep...

Do you like aggressive fish? For example a Lion Fish will eat anything that fits in its mouth...I mean anything...

So please provide some more details...

i have some "live coral rock" but not sure if i want to use them i was hoping to get some pics of setups ,as for the fish mellow would be best

any and all info is good, thanks

You will want to use live rock. Live rock acts as a large biological filter even if you are not planning to make it a reef tank.

I am partial to the snowflake eel http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+29+131&pcatid=131 and the niger trigger fish http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+44+257&pcatid=257. The clown trigger http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+44+245&pcatid=245 is also a favorite. With that size tank some of the angels and the tangs are easy fits.

Look over the web site they have a lot of fish and corals to check out. They also will let you know what is compatible.
