sand hills open road challange

has anyone done this or heard of it?:dontknow: reading the rules now. its in nebraska and sounds like high speed fun, its Aug 9th-11th and it on a closed highway total round trip is 55 miles! they also have 1/2 and 1 mile drags, and a burnout contest i think nysteve would own!! heres the link www.sorcrace.com Also there is a race coming up in WI road america northwoods region, a guy at work told me a bounch of lightnings show up its a 3 day event and you can take a passenger on the first day and there is all kinds of classes! its a 4 mile course:burnout: has anyone done that one?:dontknow: that sounds like alot of fun too!!!:star:

There are a bunch of these now. I believe the first was the SilverState run in Nevada.

I went to check it out 2 years ago and it rained us out for the mile and 1/2 mile runs.
It looks like a great setup and lots of road for the speed runs. I have not done the road race but have a viper buddy who has run it a couple times and loves it.(he also has the record for the mile run with his Roe supercharged GTS)
The location is basically the middle of no where(Nebraska) but the whole town is supportive of the event and it is a good time.

Are you talking about Bob David? Have you seen his twin turbo setup yet? He lives a few mile from my parents.
