It's an FM set up

But I still use the steering wheel controls for volume or changing to a radio station. Once I got the buttons programed the way I wanted. It really didn't matter about all the other possible functions I may have lost.

Sirius is the only plug and play one that I know of. I already had the XM from my previous truck. It works just fine and it was a hell of a lot cheaper that the Sirius

Although, I would suggest and iPOD hookup if you can. XM has the same problem as every other radio.....repitition

It is nice to have on long trips

I may be too late but I have the direct part number for you. It is on my truck but is actually designed for the rb1. It will run xm or sirius. I bought it to run xm instead of stock sirius. I have an rb4 which it is not compatible with but I still made it work .

Company is Axxess Model Number is: XIA-D01 and XIAH-XMC.
The only other thing you will need is a satellite digital tuner box. The above units plug into each other and the D01 plugs into the back of the radio with a square gray plug. Works great. I can get you everything except the XM Tuner box, but I can tell you where to get one.

The XIA-series interfaces are designed to allow the user to play an XM satellite radio, or auxiliary audio through a vehicle’s factory audio system. Any two of the three audio inputs can be used. There are three main interface modules to choose from dependent upon vehicle application, XIA-D01. These interfaces are used in conjunction with a vehicle specific harness and desired audio input harnesses will allow the user to retain the factory audio system and enjoy the benefits of a direct audio connection between the source and factory radio.

Viper Jeff, You really have it just stuck on there like that??? OMG I think that is a sin. I made a mount that fits behind the dash that allows you to mount the Sat Radio display down by the cig lighter plug. If you would like it I can send it to you for free. It works great as I used it for a few days until I got my direct plugs in. Anyway just 2 cents from a car electronics installer.

Goes for anyone else here. I know I can also get the mounts that are designed for our trucks they look awesome too. Company that makes them is called bracketron. Check them out I use their products on installs almost everyday!!
