As many of you know I run a non-profit that does cancer research and education to benefit older adults with cancer.

We are doing a cruise called The 1st Annual Highway to Health: Driving out Cancer Motor Rally from Annapolis MD, to the Tiki Bar in Solomon's Island MD SEPTEMBER 22, 2007. Following the cruise to Solomon’s Island, the Tiki bar will host a car show which will be open to the public. The afternoon will consist of live music, food, cancer education and screenings, raffles and awards for the participants. We are estimating that we will have 500 + vehicles participating in the cruise. It would be very cool to have a huge Ram SRT-10 showing.

Sounds Great ya'll. I will also be working on setting up a dinner on Friday night before the cruise on Saturday. I'll probably also block some rooms at a hotel for folks needing a place to stay in Annapolis.

I will update here as more plans come together.

I am hoping to be able to attend. Annapolis is less than an hour away. As far as Hotel reservations go I can possibly get us a decent rate at a Hilton or Hampton inn as I can get he Family rate which is something like $29 per night. i would just need to know how many are going. If its ok I'd like to pass this along to the Guys over at DTW and even FTW to get more to attend.

UPDATE!!!

SAVE THE DATE: SEPTEMBER 22, 2007

We now have a starting point for the cruise. We are starting at the Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille in Edgwater MD and driving down to the Tiki Bar in Solomons Island MD. This is a 50 mile cruise. Friday night, the Greene Turtle will host a GTG for anyone coming in early.
