sorry to inform those of you who wish death on me, but i am alive.
today was the closest i have ever come, and it wasn't even something i did, or could have prevented.

there was a truck stopped on the north bound side of the road, we were heading south. i was going about 60 when i saw a truck lock up the brakes, and swerve into my lane, full speed, of about 70+mph. missed me by about 3" as i swerved into the grass. if i would have reacted 1 second slower, i would not be typing this. the truck then proceeded to go tword the over size load. he locked his brakes, and the truck hit the stopped truck. he walked away unscathed, except one black eye. thats all i could do before EMS pulled me off him. he came up to it with two choices, one, go into the ditch, two go into me with 30 flashing lights on my car, he chose me.... i wanted to kill him right there. he would have killed me over going into the ditch......

Well Scooby, you irritate the shit out of me sometimes, ok... a lot of the time. But I'm still glad you weren't hurt. You don't bother me that much.

Guy that hit you didn't seem too concerned about what had just happened. Looks more like he was upset that he may miss his lunch break...

Glad your okay bro...

Glad to see you weren't killed... The trucking company has an excellent safety rating (US DOT# 305903), via FMCSA. Only one incident in 24 months (a breakdown resulting in tow away), and no accidents. He might have had a pneumatic or air problem (line blowout or something).

...... He was a big ol boy tho.

(EDIT: after watching the video... the driver states he had a "Hydraulic Rupture"..... That usually involves steering or brake issues.... ;) )

the hydraulic rupture was his saddle tank on the right side.

this guy was FLYING, when he locked them down he was over 70, had to be, because after he slid 300 feet he hit that truck HARD he pushed that turning truck about 50' forward.

Damn dude, glad you're ok.

The EMT saying, "You need to get out of here"..... lol! :D

Seriously, glad you're un-touched.

that emt was strong, and knew what was about to happen. when the emt grabbed my shoulder, and started to escort me away, he was a bulldozer.
he didn't shove me, just kept pushing was all.... the EMT saved the drivers life that day.... :p after processing that all day yesterday, he had to choose to drive into my lane. he thought he could push me off the road, and escape unscathed THEN he saw the truck behind me. he should have gone in the ditch.
the real loser in this situation was the other truck driver, 3 miles from home, and smashed into by bubba the inbred. we all felt bad for him.
