Scraping noise

I went out and bedded the brakes per Zeckhausen. Truck stops fine with no pull, pulsation, but still have the scraping noise when turning left (rhythmic), which if I apply the brake it either gets louder or stops. Definetely sounds like the rotor was turned incorrectly.

Two questions: 1) This may sound like a dumb question, but if I continue to drive the truck as is, will the scraping eventually go away? The pad/rotor look to be in fine shape.
2) Since just the one piston is slightly leaking on the right rear, can I just rebuild the one piston (seal & dustboot) or do I need to do both on the caliper? Any suggestions on where to buy parts?

Thanks again!:)

i would think the noise would eventually go away, but it sure is annoying...... tony can get ya some new rear rotors & i would rebuild both pistons if it were me. :)

but before i spent any more money, i'd take that suspect side completely apart & recheck everything to make sure you didn't miss something.....

the reason i & most of us here changed pads from the stockers to aftermarket was the noise you'd get when ya first apply the brakes.... mine haven't made any noise since i went aftermarket, little or no dust either.....
:)

If it is scraping when you turn left, seems it is surly the rotor...get a new one.

Yep ... when I get back from vacation I'm going to tear the right rear down and fix the caliper and make sure nothing else is wrong. I'm thinking in the future, I'll upgrade to slotted discs.

Overall, the brakes seem to work quite well (no squeak with the PosiQuiets) ... Thanks again!

sounds like the transmission is shot good luck ...could be the #3 piston too
Dom I just noticed in your sig pic that there's a big ass hole in your turbo, might wanna get that checked out. ;)

personally, i'd advise against the slotted/dimpled rotors, they added no performance gain @ all - looks only & very expensive...... :(
