I have a SCT hand held programmer for sale. The only catch is the 93 octane tune is not in it.I had left that on the truck when i sold it.It should have the other 2 tunes on it.I'm not sure but these have 3 tunes on it.The SCT was bought through roe racing.Again i'm not sure but i think you can send it to them and have them download the program on to the hand held programmer. The program was set up for reg.cab truck.I'm looking to get 125.00.Shipping will be free.

sent you a pm. i have an 04 100% stock truck. would i see any gains from this at all? what would i need to do? thanks...

that means the stock tune is in it now?????

Not sure but I think the tuner has to return the stock tune to the original vehicle before it can tune another........and your 93 tune is still stored in it...:dontknow:

i think he is saying new it comes with three tunes, mild, medium and hot. he left the hot tune on the truck when he sold it..so now it has the mild and medium tune?:dontknow: i think we can contact sean roe and he will email you custome tunes, dont know the cost though....

All tuners are programmed for one vehicle....when you store the stock tune it will not tune another vehicle....this keeps someone from using 1 tuner to flash 2 or more vehicles.....if you did not flash the stock tune back in the truck I believe the tuner cannot be used on another vehicle....you should ask Roe or call SCT tommorrow to make sure..

oh..now i get ya..your saying if the above is true that would render this SCT tuner unusable?

I am almost sure about this...I do know that my brother sold a Predator tuner he used for his Charger RT....he had to flash the stock tune back on his car before the vendor could program it to work with the buyer's vehicle...this just makes sense...if you did not have to return your vehicle to stock tune then a group of people could buy the tuner and flash a custom tune and then pass it on....

That is correct. It marries to the vehicle and will not program another until it is reset to stock. You can send it back to SCT and have it reflashed though.

I would assume that if SCT reflashed it would not have any tunes....you would then have to buy a tune from a vendor.....usually running several hundred $$...

shoulda left the programmer with the truck if you left the 93 tune in it. it's worthless now.
