can i get a new tune for my brothers in laws jeep srt 8 in my sct or does he have to buy a whole new sct.....thanks

he needs to buy a new sct..... you would have to put your to stock to be able to load new tunes for his jeep. and if you wanted to put the tune back on your you would have to load his truck back to stock before you could load your tunes. It only works for one vehicle at a time. If im sucking at explaining give me a call and I'll explain it to you!
yes it still has my stock tune in it..... does that mean its locked?????

you only get like 3 vin changes before it locks & has to be sent back to SCT to reset.

If your SCt has tuned your truck then it is whats called "locked" until you put your back to stock.
When peopel buy used SCT's and find out there "locked" one of two things has happened.
1. The tuner has programmed 3 vehicles which locks out the tuner and requires to be sent back to SCT to clear
2. Someone programmed their vehicle, possibly getting rid of vehicle and not programming the vehicle back to stock which "unlocks" the tuner before selling it

The man above tells the truth..
..you say his 8 falls off at 50MPH?....may be something wrong with it....should be getting a second wind by then....that is a trait of the 6.1 Hemi.....
if the srt8 jeep is newer than an 06 you have to go with something differnt than a sct
dam you guys dont think i will win........o well i will try tomorrow....i started to black out the headlights and putting on hids.... i will take some pics in the morning

So, how'd it go with the 8?
I think you're in for a tough fight with a gc srt8, especially from a standstill with its awd and the power to weight ratio isn't in your favor. I ran one on the highway and took it but it probably would have owned me light to light unless I nailed every shift perfectly.

yeah he beat my ass bad from the light...but i kept up on the highway
It's ok bro you can't beat em all! They're newer SRT's so they should beat us.... With time things keep getting made better and better.
