How are the seatbelt's retracting in your trucks, are they getting more sluggish?

Both driver and passenger side when pulled out, will stay out and not go back in until it's pulled from the pillar area, then it retracts. So annoying when you get out of this kind of vehicle and have everyone watch you fiddle with the seatbelt trying to get it to retract! It feels like it has lost tension but still locks if a sudden force is used against it (like in the event of an impact)

I got side airbags so I have to take apart the trim in that area to get full access to the belt. Anyone have a similar situation? What works?

thanks man for bringin this up. been tryin to remember to bring this up for awhile.

mine do the same. sometimes it folds at the top & locks it up.

seems like if they don't retract fast enough the buckle can get hung up in either "pouch" in the door also.

is there a way to put extra tension on what we got or is there a "high performance" retractor availible????

I had this same problem on my drivers side... Had it replaced under my Chrysler service contract. Good as new now :)

does that mean there is a TSB on them?????:dontknow::dontknow:

don't look like

i dont have that issue but my driver seat bult is backwards... I took the pillar panel off but it requires either taking everything apart or unstich the seem at the buckle clip and flipping it around.
