I personally would have been pissed if you had ended up with a non-numbers matching car after less than 300 miles.

Funny thing is they said only the Viper has the VIN on the block, all others just have a date stamp. I think they are swapping (they also offered full buy back) with me because my cars are never in for warranty repairs. We drive them hard but take very good care of them. They are doing the right thing by me...DCX rocks.

I would be really surprised if that's true. I thought that I read that damn near every part on a vehicle now days carries the vin number so they can track stolen cars/parts.

I know when you bring a car into the great Festering Shit Hole from out of state you have to have it inspected by the state police. They pull it into a building, close the door, no you are not allowed in, and do an inspection for some of the hidden vin numbers.
