Sell or not to sell?

well not to be mean or anything but must be nice to have to worry about if you can get a GTS or sell your truck. Yes I have a 06 truck, but I am currrently working in Iraq, and you never know if you will make it through the next day or not. Not just me, but anyone who is here, especially the soldiers. Be thankful, you can buy a GTS because some of the soldiers who die, only make about $20K a year to protect the way we live.

So you can sell the trucks, but Vipers, but respect and appreciate what you have. Thank a soldier who has been in combat...
What does this have to do with selling my truck Bo?:dontknow:

No disrespect to your service over there but I DID serve 4 combat tours, including time in Iraq when it wasn't controlled by US Forces.

WTF.

I'm not exactly sure what that has to do with this topic, either. If you're frustrated then I understand that, but there are plently of us that did our time. The service members involved in the War on Terror signed the contract and volunteered. They knew what they were getting themselves in to. You sound like you're looking for sympathy. Get off the soap box or start a new thread, huh?

Back to the subject at hand. Keep the truck and get a C6 with paddle shifter  .

Here is a little candy, to sway your decision.... ;)

Yeah... I have been searching for a '99 GTS for a LONG time. This one was about as good as I have found... But we couldn't get together on the price. :( Sooooo, the search continues. :D ;)

I have been searching and can't get my wallet together with my wants. :D :D

I've found some 2003 SRT 10 Vipers for about 50k.

Do you all consider the GTS the best of the three generations of vipers?

I'm a Vette guy myself.

Actually, most consider the '99 GTS (the last year for the FORGED piston motor) the best year for the Viper. Personally, I can't stand the look of the 3rd Gen Viper... I think the new Vettes look better, and they are also a better car IMO.

WILDMAN

Like alot of you I would love to have a GTS Viper. I just can't see selling or trading my truck though. I guess I will have to save my pennies and wait.

I cannot keep reading this thread about Vipers. If I do, well...you know what may happen. Anyone interested in a modded SRT Ram for a great price?

I was over at underground today and Kevan just bought a new 06 coupe, if you havent seen one in person , go look at one, the pics dont do it justice, may be one in my garage soon.
And you can get one for around $70k or maybe even less.

To make your decision this may help. think aobut what you will do with it.
everyday driver?
sunday driver?
never driven?
think serieously what you want to do with it, then go from there. Drive it every day? then get one cheap, so that you want be so particular, and buy a cheap beater to haul with.
The viper though remember is unconfortable, harsh riding, and just a royal pain to get in and out of, where as the truck is not.

As far as Sg's comment , be easy on him, I think they go thru enough troubles and its the fact they are doing what they are, and we are triffling over which to buy.
I'm sure it wastn meant the way it came out from him.

I know what you're saying about SGT Bo, but some of us, like myself, have put in our time "over there" and in other places so that we can bitch about whether or not to sell our trucks.

It's a hard time over there right now, though. We've had almost 100 American GI's killed in October and we still have more than a week left 'til November. But just remember them, but don't forget that they all volunteered.

I reenlisted after 9/11 knowing full well what my future may be.
