Well I definitely plan on hauling our horse trailer (once we get one) with the RC and I know they aren't really meant to tow, but I don't see why not if I'm easy about it. I do want to take some precautions though. What do you recommend?

Here are my thoughts. Questions, comments, concerns?

1) SCT Tuner with tow tune, street tune, and race tune

2) Switching from 4.10's to 4.56 (Advice needed please)

3) Obviously will probably need a hitch :dontknow: ;)

4) Stiffer rear springs? Are they available?

5) Any other advice is appreciated

If the trailer has brakes I would get a brake controller for the cab. You will also probably need a beefier clutch setup other than stock.

I learned from towing my boat that the clutch is the weak point. The gears will help.

I saw a guy hauling a car on a trailer with a RC so I guess the horse trailer won't be any more weight than that. All he did was put a hitch on the back of it. Keep the tongue weight below 500lb and you should be good. Don't race the guy in the lightning while your towing and be real gentle on the clutch and as mentioned, do the brake controller if the trailer has brakes.

Get a brake controller, mopar hitch (or the full crossbar with hitch), and airbag kit for the rear springs. The clutch will last a while with gentle starts. The gears will help, but ive towed over 7000 #'s with 4.10's. The stock tune will be adequte for towing IMO, dont tow with an agressive tune of course. My truck has my towing kit, a cheap brake controller, airbags (2.5" drop blocks in back), 4.10's, and a centerforce. I burned the stock clutch up racing and still towed the next day with no issues.

I tow this with mine, and so far no issues. Just take it easy.
