Well folks its been a hell of a year and to top it off My Golden Retreiver (the one on the left in the pic) Shadow has Lymphoma:mad: they give him 60 days and want to put him on Prednizome ( not sure if spelling is correct?) on the upside Michael will have some company in heaven.

Sorry to hear that, brother....

We do love our animals..... But this is the way it is and there's not much we can do about it but hope and pray and take advantage of what science offers.

I hope for only good things for you and your pooch pal....

His Will be done .............

Golden's love like no other. Very sorry to hear more bad news for you. You need a break, keeping you in my thoughts

That's a real bummer my friend. It's painful to lose them, but not as painful as watching them hurt is. I'll be thinking of you guys.

I took both of mine to the vet last week
My 13 year old Malamute/ White Shepard has cancer. One of the growths is giving her some problems with getting up. She is fine on carpet, but when she lays on the tile, she cant get up. Because of her age, surgery and/or chemo isnt an option.
My 14 year old Huskey has a list off issues. Growths, arthritus, bladder stones, small liver, large kidneys. Also because of his age, surgery isnt an option.
The vet says once they put them on Prednizome (or whatever) that they would be on it the rest of there lives. I can't imagine that would be long.

What prompted the vet visit were they both didn't seem right. One wasnt eating, was vomiting. After further investigation I noticed that the HOA's landscapers sprayed weedkiller on the back side of my fence (where the dogs like to lay). My vets attitude was "Don't let the dogs eat grass". WTF? What dog do you know wont eat grass?
They are both doing fine now, but I know there time is coming. For a bit I thought I would loose both of them the same day.

Use what science gives you. When its there time, you will know.

Thanks for all the words DOG is GOD backwards, the unconditional love and memories make all of it worth it. I pray he goes in his sleep. But alas I know that Shadow is going to ride one more time in an SRT10.
