So last week we had a kite surfer killed by a shark. Tragic and all, but that is a risk you take. I grew up in these waters and have been bumped, but never bit. Unfortunaly this guy wasnt that lucky.

So as a memorial they do this.

Cliff notes.

Kitesurfer gets attacked by shark and dies.
Memorial- bunch of surfers paddle out on boards to place where surfer died
Then fisherman catches a shark and swims out to "release" it and gets bitten.

I post..... Darwin Winner :aetsch:

Supposedly the lifeguard paddled out and fought the guy away from the sharks.
The lifeguard himself was attacked by a shark in the 80's or 90's.

Let's put more and more shark in our diets............ it's a moral imperative.

when i struck something in new york harbor i was frightened to get into the water to take the crap off the prop because i know there are sharks there. i will also not jetski with alligators.... some people like to live on the edge, sometimes they fall in.

Nice mess you caught there :D
I use to jet ski (old stand ups) in the canals and lakes here. Everyones idea was that the gators would swim away because of the noise. I didn't quite buy into that one.

we took the john boat into the shallow stuff last year, saw some big crap i would not want to mess with. including a fish so big when it swam off it sucked down the water overtop of it. had to be 8', not a gator. i was the mule...

did see some otters, something i didnt even know was in those waters. it was most likely freshwater where we were. went till we could go no farther...
