How much will I need to shave off my rear calipers to run the 16" wheels for my slicks ?

Not real sure I want to do this,so I am wanting to know what I going to have to do.

Just use 2 levels. measure the distance from the top of the caliper to the center line of the axle and transter that measurement to the wheel.
Should get you close, except for finall fitting ( then you could have most it milled off, less work);)

get one case of beer, two cheap ass northern hydraulic grinders, about 4 grinding wheels and a crate or stool to sit on and a small tv.

Dress in old cloths, long sleeves, long pants, and a ski mask that covers the face and a good set of machanic gloves, and glasses.

then procede to grind, and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind, and jsut when you think you about to ruin a set of calipers,..............grind some more.

fit , then grind, fit, then grind.
takes about 3-4 hours a caliper;)

Uhhhhhhhh

hmmmmmmmm

wellllllllllllll

I think it safe to say that I WILL NOT be running the slicks at Macon

I simply don't have enough time in my schedule

Maybe by next Panama gtg

along with the 150 shot of laughing gas

it takes a good while to do them bud;) it is a huge pain in the arse:D

If someone would take the time to make a fixture plate you could put them in a mill (using an index (rotary type) vise) and mill them like arcing brake shoes.
Then tilt the table on the mill for any radii's that might be needed on the edges for clearance. Then store the info in the DRO and it could be repeted over and over at little cost. Sheeeeesh darn Hillbilly's
