i have a t-handle. it is a LOT better shifting with it. definately worth it. i have been curious about the pistol grip too.

Great two votes, one for each!!!! LOL I guess I will have to decide by myself. I am over the stock knob and need something better. I never have liked how the stock knob feels over the X metal shifter........nothing wrong with Boomers design, it just needs something else IMO.

Patrick,

I used the T-handle for a long time!! It was ok, good for the 1st - 2nd & 3rd- 4th shifts, however I found that the stock ball is much better for the 2nd - 3rd shifts for me anyway!!. Also much easier and precise on downshifting.:D

Can't speak for the Pistol grip!! I like to rest my hand on the shifter while driving so the ball & T-handle would seem better for that??:dontknow:

You should try the Pistol Grip hold, I am very comfortable with it, and with it being a Pistol Grip it adds some nostalgia to the feel and the Carbon Fiber grips add some modern bling to it. It really is heads above the stocker IMHO.
Dodge shoulda done em this way with our 'special trucks'...

My brother liked the Carbon Fiber Pistol Grip so much he wants to make a Jockey Shifter for a chopper out of one.....

It's a matter of personal preference I guess. I had the OEM ball, switched to the Hurst T-Handle, back to the ball, and now I am going back to the T-Handle. After using both back to back I like the T-Handle better for the 2-3 shift.:burnout:

Less control of the shaft the better. Let Boomer's shifter work for you.
She needs very little pressure to get her started, as you know.
Instead of forcing her into the next gear (all most unconscious, but you do have a "grip" with these two designs.)
With the ball all you do is push, you don't grip the ball you push behind it (i.e second to thrid) grip her from 3rd to 4th.
That way boomer's product will work even better for you Patrick. lol
