Ive had my Eye on a Shift Light for some time now, And early into my Browsing ive seen a pattern. From what I hear shift lights only tap into one wire (?) and I can't imagine one wire from the ECU contains 150 bucks worth of technology/circuitry from Autometer or another brand. Is this something that can just as easy be Achieved with something simple like the Little pack of 3 LED spotlights at Advance Auto Parts for only $9.99 Or free if you have sticky fingers and a Hooded Sweatshirt, Which i Dooo
Is there any way to Custom make your own shift-light using stuff from Radio Shack, Or is it a much more technical Process than i have been giving it credit for???

Its time you know

But there is something you must Know. I am the biggest Cheapskate in the Universe. 90% of my toolbox is Zip-ties and Extension Cords. I have tried to spend as little money as can, and so far, I have gotten some Amazing upgrades for almost if not Totally Free. So here is My next wild Hair, any help would be Greatly Appreciated.:nurse:

This one is a little more involved. You can tap into a wire coming from the PCM to one of the coils but your light will flash everytime that cylinder fires. You have to have some logic that determines what RPM you want the light to signal. Raptor makes an awsome product and they're on group buy right now I think. You can use it in any vehicle you own because it can be prorammed for number of cylinders and at what RPM you want it to signal at and it's all wrapped up in the cool little tube. You will need to hook up three wires. Power, ground and signal wire. That's all there is to it. Why re-invent the wheel when it's so available right here. http://www.raptorperformance.com/Dodge/Ramsrt10/ram_srt10.htm
