Can I just remove the shifter boot and ring or will I have to remove the console around it as well? TIA....

Unless you have very small hands you will have to remove the console as well. It's kinda a PITA removing the shifter console from the center console too because it is clipped together and a pain to seperate. I ended up removing the whole thing together then seperating them and re-installing them. Have fun.:)

I just installed the B&M last night.

1st remove the ring.

2nd pull up the center console start from the front and work you way back.

Then just follow the instructions.

Hope you have smaller hand's then the baseball gloves god gave me it was a PITA.

Cheers J.T.

quADs right, but as i have had mine out about 14 million times:( i just gave up on the ring and just take the dang console out to begin with and slide the boooo up over the shaft after taking the ball off.

summin sounds perverse about that statement:D

Thanks. And they're called knee pucks by the way, not knee pads, those are for blowjobs...

Working my way up to A group for this track season. Going to PIR, Pacific, Miller, Thunderhill and possibly Reno-Fernley this year:proud:

And thanks for the feedback on the shifter install. I was just wondering if there were plastic tabs (you know the ones that often break) when removing plastic shit like this, that hold the top of the console to the base?
