Ok, since Patrick said it was ok in the other thread (and if it's not, I appologize and you can whip me with a wet noodle) I'm going to post the email I got back from Chris.

He asked me to post it for him here. I had emailed him this morning about the shifter and he sent a very fast reply. A very nice guy who is really into helping out the forum. So, here is the email:
______________________________________________________________

Thank you Steven for your inquiry. Basically what I would like to propose is this: Because your forums took the time to review our product and give us some good exposure and feedback I would like to offer any of you interested in the shifter “dealerâ€￾ pricing on it. AS it has been previously mentioned, The shifter will sell for $299 once we get production going on the product. If the members would like to get a group buy or something going I will offer it @ $240. I will make special arrangements with one of our Distributors to facilitate all orders of this product and make sure the members receive the promotional pricing.I have a particular Distributor in mind who is literally across the street from us and would likely do this for us and you guys.

I anticipate it will still be a couple weeks before we can start shipping them as the one that was tested was a pre-production model. But, if this sounds like something that will work for you and the other members I will be happy to get it all put together. Please let me know…

Thanks again!

So there you have it. $240 to the forum.

Hope this helps...

I'm thinking very hard about it. I don't need a full race shifter (I can hold my own even with the OEM Hurst). :burnout: Been having a hard time coming to terms with $500 for the Gen IV.;)

Thanks Stretch,
I know Boomer's is a better shifter for what I want it for but that is a very tempting price.

Thank s Stretch for posting that, although I have already made my decision about what shifter I am getting, that is a good price for the members here.

Bill.

He also said that it will work with the stock handle, hence it will also work with the Pistol Grip handle as well. Think I will give the Hurst fix a try first, then if I really need it, I'll save up for the B&M.

Dude, I am not slagging the BM shifter but you have belanger headers on your truck! You have not skimped at all with mods. If I didnt have Boomers Gen One, I would be all over his gen 4. Yes its twice as much but it will be the bomb!! Watch and listen to the fellas that get em. If I could sell me gen 1 I would absolutly buy the gen 4.

Just lame lame opinion though!;)

I would like to try the B&M Shifter. I've spent more taking my kids to the amusement park. Please put me on any list for a group buy. I've used there shifters on Mustangs. They stand behind what they sell. If you don't like it, they return your money. I trust them.

Place my order. When and how do we proceed? I called them and they told me they delayed production.

Thanks:)

I don't know if this will help out or not, but thought I would pass it along.

I removed the rubber isolator from the stock shifter a couple weeks ago and have not had any issues with it. I used 5/16 X 1 1/4 full thread bolts to attach the shifter to the transmission stub shaft. Before I did this I ran flanged nuts on the 2 bolts. The flanges on the nuts centered the bolts in the shifter holes which are approximately 9/16 in diameter. I then located the shifter to the stub and centered the bolt in the hole so the bolt was not touching the side of the hole. Make sense? Anyway, no gaskets or rubber isolators, and no vibrations or noise.

The reason for using the 5/16 bolts was so the bolt would not contact the hole.

I should add that it also cured the shifting to 3rd issue as WOT.

Like I said I don't know if this will help or not, but thought I would throw it out there.

Good luck guys.

Yeah I know, Bro. I really want Boomers but it's twice as much.:(

I am still on the fence :dontknow: Kinda waiting to get some feedback on each one before I commit.

I am trying to save for a cam and clutch kit, too. :D

Absolutley wait for feedback!! The clutch fix will eventually be a must for all RC's while a shifter is an optional fix.
