Shifter Problems

ok so here the deal - i have a few shifters laying around "cant have too many" haha

i bought this shifter from another member here Click here

when i installed the shifter, and went to drive the truck it kept poping out of gear, so bad i had to remove the shifter and install another one....

my question is why would it do this - the only thing i can think of it as i looked at all the other shifter i have they are are counter sunk for the bolts and washers - witch this one is not, and MAYBE the bolts are not seating the shifter down into place :dontknow: :dontknow:

i use the factory bolts that came with the truck to install all the shifters

when i install another shifter in the truck there was no problems

any help would be great

oh and on a note : i am not bashing the memeber i bought the shifter from, nor an i trying to say i was sold a pos, that just is not the case here

its prob something dumb and stupid that i am over looking

Longer bolts and make sure the plastic cup(bushing) is in the shifter hole not stuck on the shifter ball.
