I want to know what the best shifter out on the market today is for the manual transmission. I had/have an old x-metal shifter and it broke at a weld while driving. Needless to say I limped it home in 4th gear. So I just want everyone's opinion on the latest and greatest. I don't want to have to go through something like this again.

Stock shifter is also very dependable.

i have the stock shifter still with a shorter hurst handle and white ball knob and i think its pretty damn good for stock... i can hit the 2-3 shift pretty well with it. the handle and knob only set me back about 90 bones.

Stock feels ok until you try a different one. I was using B&M and i loved it but then i drove the truck with the JTSVP shifter. It took me less than 2 minutes to make a phone call and order one.
