What is the stock rpm for the shifting points at WOT. I thought it was 6000rpm, but its lower right now on my truck, not only that each gear is different.

Mods are : K&N Intake, Magnaflow Exhaust, JTSVP Coils/Wires, NGK 1 step colder plugs, SCT Tuned by Torrie (91 octane tune)

Also what year was the truck having the issue with the cam timing being off? I'm really starting to think something is wrong with my truck. Santeen and a few others cant believe i can launch at 3000rpm and not get any wheel spin at the track on street tires. Even launching that hard i still bang mid 14's...my best run with my mods (minus the tune) was [email protected] that sound right? I havent dynoed it yet but im going to book a appointment booked for monday at 5pm so ill see what she is doing. But for now, what do you guys think.

I did 13.7 on radial and 13.89 on street tires . And if I try taking on on street tires on over 1100 rps I just smoke them . And that's with almost same mods as yours . One thing I can't c u Launching your truck at 3000rps . You should be doing big ass bornout if u r foot braking it .

You cant launch a qc at 3000RPM unless you neutral drop and you will only do that ounce! unless you have a 3000 stall TC, as soon as you hit around 1500RPM it will break loose or bog till you release the brakes.
I ran a 13.71 @ 104MPH with street tires.

Yeah you should be throwing smoke launching from 3000rpm...?? Even stock you should be able to?

Hell, my stock 87 chevy will break the tires loose doing that.

I sound very discouraging... but then again I don't know much. Curious to what your dyno results are.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. But he still shouldnt have a problem turning those tires over??

I don't see how you can power brake it to launch at 3k without a converter, an even then mine wont flash to 3k on street tires. Be interested on your dyno numbers,Moparmans truck was way under powered on the dyno and he was running a 14.1 in a RC.

Hard to see but my rpms were at 2500 when i was staging and i got no wheel spin, didnt get a video of 3000rpm but i could launch no problem.

Other that that u guys think everything else is normal? What about my shifting points...is it normal for each gear to shift at a slightly different rpm.

What's the 60 ft and 1/8 mile times, I can compare to some of my old timeslips, I keep a log book after each mod.

i cant remember my 1/8 mile times but i was around 2.2 60' and mid/low 14's...best time was 14.00@100mph.

is there a way to find out for sure if thats the cause? like is there any other signs it would be showing.

checked the fluid, still looks cleanish, im assuming the previous owner changed it around the time he traded the truck in (same with the rear diff) cuz i changed the diff but the oil that came out looked pretty new/clean. That was approx. 11,000km ago but the oil in the tranny still looks good.

does it shift normal during everyday driving? has your truck done ANYTHING that may be weird ever?

nope, truck feels fine. Normal driving it shifts between 1500-2000rpm (depend if im driving like a granny) But the few times i went WOT it has changed gears at different rpms (as u can see in the video) Normally i wouldnt really care as long as everything is normal but im trying to program my window switch for the nitrous and i want to turn the nitrous off a few hundred rpm's before the rev limiter.

Maybe i need to adjust the tv cable? but iiunno since normal driving is fine.

actually you know what, that would make perfect sence. I ment to do it last fall but i held off doing the oil change/adjustment because i bought a shift kit over the winter and was going to get it put in this summer.

I agree with the OP that he is stalling to about 2500 cause you can hear it before he takes off. I could stall to about 1800 stock but yes would definately roast the damn tires down the track.:burnout: It has to have a stall already that's 2800 which may flash 3000! Or something is awry in the tranny. Times don't sound abnormal at all though for a fairly stock QC:dontknow:

Got another question. What is the proper way of dynoing the QC? Heard some guys press the haul/tow button, some guys take the tv cable off in 3rd gear... Still not sure how that works, do u drive the truck on the dyno until it gets to 3rd gear then remove it?

:rock:Both the TV cable and Tow/Haul are disabled prior to your runs. Usually the operator will know. If not do it or it will try to downshift during dyno time. Tow/Haul will allow the converter not to lock up longer and hold 3rd gear vs. going into OD!:burnout:
