so i was out driving this weekend after fixing the nav went out to test it i got on it a bit went to down shift in to 3rd and it just would not go in :(

i cant with the truck off and run thu the gears, now im having problem downshifting into 3rd gear.... happen a few times over the weekend, ...

sometime's it goes into 3rd adn sometimes it done on the shift, but i never had a problem finding the gear on the down shift !!!!

think im going to change up the clutch fluid and bleed it, then re alg the shifter, hopefuly that will work, if not im going to buy another shifter " just low on funds atm " then if all eles fails then the updrade ........

i hope i dont have to go this route yet but time will tell

any suggestions would be great

I was having problems with it grinding trying to put in reverse...I bled the clutch fluid and it seems to have resolved the problem...shifting other gears seems to have improved slightly also...

ok - look's like i got something to do this weekend.....

might sound like a DUMB Question but......

thanks,
3 . mobil one atf is the easiest to get ahold of

2. valvoline makes a good syntech that has hi temp qualities

1. well somewhere there is
but you need two people
one in the cab, one under the truck.
a drip pan
fluid
have the person inside the cab push the clutch pedal very slowly, while they hold it at the bottom, oepn the bleeder and jsut before it quits drainging, close it off, repeat until flushed,

but push that pedal slowly

flush the system , install new hi temp fluid, and maybe change the tranny fluid over to an atf synthetic also

ok, i should have asked this yesterday but,,,, why do you put ATF in a manual transmission ?

The trans manufacturer recommends ATF.....and it will shift better...but know that Chrysler will void your trans warranty...

You can probably simply bleed the clutch fluid well and make sure it is full to fix the issue.
It worked perfectly for mine. My truck was so bad, I couldn't get it in reverse without shutting off the engine. I could barely get first and third was impossible if you were above 3000 rpm's. I just bleed it out and filled and all works perfect. I can catch 3rd at 5500 rpm's with no problem.
