has anyone ever bolted their factory HURST shift lever to an X METAL short shifter (particularly are GEN IV)? the holes do not line up, but has anyone fabricated anything? just wanted to do that with mine, i like the factory look better. some input

I too like the look of the original stick. Though I have to say I really love the look of the Gunslinger Auto Pistol Grip stick better. I'm sure it can be done, either with an adapter or some such device.

Drill the lever and bolt it up, but you will be back to the long throw because of the longer lever. I drilled and bolted a straight 8" Hurst lever to my B&M base and love it. Really short!!

I would love a shorter throw handle, but since I'm about 6' 4" I'd be bent over at the waist trying to throw the gears!! But my Pistol Grip does sit about an inch or so too high...

Hey Stretch, I'm 5' 8" and not bent over at all, you would be surprised how well it fits.

one of the other problems i have is the leather boot is streched to the max and everytime i shift, it pulls up the console a little.
