Took advantage of the cooler air today, but left the cover and tailgate on. Ran a new best of 13.1 @ 106. Maybe next Saturday she'll go on a diet and I can get this thing into the 12's.

One heck of a wound-up rubber band!

Ok, flash, intake, mids with high flows and catback.

Seems to me the trucks running in the 12's are all running with a similar combo, but always with the flash.

How much gas was in the tank? I got my best times with a quarter tank.

1/4 here as well, and the truck was hot. Drove 2 hours to the track and went straight to the tree.

2.033. I'm figuring lose the weight; 1.95 60', and engine temp at 150 will net a 12.9

pretty good 60 for street tires.....the debate will always continue....lose the weight off the back and the 60 may go up.....I have removed the spare and cover and E/T went up....:dontknow:

I have found that the stockers get extremely sticky after a good 10 second burnout. I don't have to feather it at all out of the hole; just mash and go.

Nice run man. I know how you feel. I went 13.07 on a run that didn't really feel like I pushed it too hard. But just couldn't quite get her into the 12s.:dontknow:

You did good.

Good run Ron-----She is still holding up pretty well, Jenny Craig may definately help LOL. How was your R/T ?

Does removing the cover really make much difference? If it does, how much trouble is it for one guy? I've heard these trucks need the weight in the rear. It looks like a bit of a pain to remove.

Like Mike ( nowwhat) said.....he removed his spare and tailgate and it resulted in a worse sixty time..... We have to have some sort of weight back there.

.083 :D

In addition to the weight, I also noticed that I may be able to improve my 60' by lowering the truck completely in the rear. I can still drop her another inch with Boomers shackles, and I have to assume that would allow for a better transfer of weight.:dontknow:

If that doesn't work, I'm going to let the wife drive. At 110lbs (vs. my 205) there's another 1/10!
