My truck should be back this week....I have to be in Wyoming on the 21st of this month....since I have not really had any fun driving my truck I thought I would take her on a road trip to Wyoming.

But I need some help.....should I do it?.....Will it make it? Will I get stranded on the highway?

I need to know what you guys think.

although my build was not as complicated.....i took her to the Nats and back to New Jersey for a total of 1430 miles 8 days after i got her back. I figured it was the best way to get used to her and put her thru the paces.

I say ABSOLUTELY

I say hell yes..You paid to play, no go play..Enjoy it..

Just make sure your AAA is current (just in case) :)

Yes, without a doubt...

it seems like cruising on the high way would be a good way to get your beast used some forced induction....better than beating on it around town any way. but yeah def sign up for AAA!!!

One more thing, just remember to talk to Phil (Big Asp) about hills and sixth gear.

I know you have a completely different setup, but that doesn't mean the same thing is not possible

I say Fuc**** A, Walt

After all you been through i say a 2000 mile truck ride will make you fall in love with it again :)

just the gas will be pricy..

What ever you do, I can't wait for you to get it back!

Will

Hey Walt,
I would drive it and then have the tow truck that Hennessy was going to pay for follow you all the way home.
Mas

one word Walt...........1fast400......... I wouldnt chance the trouble and the headache..........I love ya bro,but just not sure about 2000 miles maybe 200 to start, not trying to be a dick, just I know it can be pain stranded at 6pm in the evening, watching people drive by in the freakin heat.:D

IF he gets stranded in WY, I am only 20 min from the Co/WY border, I would help a fellow member / Owner out! I am sure it will be ok, just might be risky with it being it's first road trip.

i don't know what i would do. with all of the problems that you have already had. it might just make you frustrations worse. but then again i would love to get that thing out and drive it. i would prolly just say fu$k it and take it.go for it

Well I am still trying to decide...Stinker thanks I can always get what your really feeling about something when you reply.....just so you know JH says the same thing you said when I asked him.......but what the hell....I think it would be fun as hell to take it....provided I did not have a breakdown...:(

I just have never really had much fun with it and If it breaks I will send to Boomer......now if it does break how will I get it to him......hmmm....Need to think about that one....AAA is going to be a must.....if I decide to do this I will leave this Sunday and hope for the best...:(.....I will make 2 days each way so I will only drive during the day.....just in case it takes a dump on me.

I am still trying to decide.....thanks for the input I have the rest of this week to make up my mind.

Tony nailed IMHO.... 200 miles.... tough call.

2000 miles... could be some real fun.... could be a bigger nightmare.:dontknow:

IF it were me Walt, I would let them ship it.... just from the potential reliability issue.

Good Luck.... I really hope she is finally complete, and gives you "happy ending".:D
