Over the past weekend was the show car nationals at Michigan International Speedway. It was planned to rain but we lucked out and only got a sprinkle after everything was said and done. Not the biggest turnout i've ever seen but still a good 600+ cars. Apparently this was the last time they are letting vehicles out on the track and possibly the last event they will be hosting. Pretty good variety of vehicles but with a overwhelming amount of mustangs, new and old.
There were no other 10's there, was hoping to catch at least one. In fact only one Viper was in attendance aswell, a silver 3rd Gen 'vert with the 6 lug wheels.
I ended up winning best Mopar along with older plum crazy challenger.
I didn't catch a picture of the challenger, but he def deserved it. His car was mint, 10/10 interior, flawless engine bay, correct wiring, plumbing, routing and placement for everything, complete restoration. By far the best car there IMO.
Couple other pics
Shitty picture my buddy took of my engine bay early in the morning. Got lots of looks and lots of guys don't know what these are OR the transmission the RC has.
Nicely done chevelle
Drivers side door panel of a monte carlo with a custom sound system, I dunno about audio but the whole back seat had a custom ported enclosure with two 15" woofers in it. I counted 6 amps, there was minor engine work just dress up stuff, and it was bagged on very nice rims.
Lifted jeep with a swapped 502 old school big block, however thats a GM block if i'm not mistaken. Still cool tho (couldn't get the picture size to cooperate, hence the thumbnail)
New Corvette Stingray, first time I had seen one in person. Pretty sharp, but I wouldn't own it.
Roush Mustang, Roush had their own vendor area with some very fast ponies, a couple modded super snakes.
Let't not forget about the main event now.
All in all it was a good show, not carlisle nor barret jackson quality, but still not bad. Pretty happy I won a trophy, 2nd one i've ever gotten out of 3 shows i've entered my truck in. Hopefully they will continue to do this show, and to let vehicles out on the track again, for one because it was a blast and secondly because i'm sure there's a foxbody out there that's still realll salty.
